I started Historica Hobbies in 2006. The company was originally Historica Books. I had recently lost my job and was stressed about going back into the workplace. So I started my own business. I love books and military history so I thought I'd give it a shot. I connected with some great customers and things were OK. Unfortunately: not enough great customers, ebay, Amazon etc. I started to sell scale models and connected with some great / small manufacturers and more great customers. I generally don't compete with bigger stores - I try to offer interesting stuff that is not "too obvious".
I am pretty happy with the lines that I offer: Master Club, Miniarm, Sp Designs, Pit Road, Maschinen Krieger, Hasegawa, Evolution figures and Gundam MG . And of course my books!
My store is definitely reflects my interests in Russian / Soviet and Japanese stuff.
Here's a shameless plugThis is a photo of a T-34 from Bovington. The photo is from 2007.
